I met a girl,
A girl who is so modest in the way she conducts herself,
She is mindful of her presence and absence,
She doesn’t avail herself where she is not supposed to be,
She’s not my girlfriend, but she’s for keeps.

I met a girl,
A girl diligent and diplomatic in her business,
She keeps a weekly self search to see how she has performed across the week,
She set the bar a little higher and works towards the goal,
She’s not my girlfriend, but she’s for keeps.

I met a girl,
A girl so hardworking and independent,
She has an intuition for wealth creation,
She has raised the bar too high for the man who employ the fishing line technology to win girls,
She can comfortably defend herself in the market,
She’s not my girlfriend, but she’s for keeps.

I met a girl,
A girl so committed to pursue Godliness,
She had failed countable times,
She yet collected her bits and pieces and daily sought the balm in Gilead,
She is becoming a prayer warrior,
She’s not my girlfriend, but she’s for keeps.

I met a girl,
A girl who chose to be my sister without ties of consanguinity,
She knows when I am not okay even when my tongue is reluctant to confess it,
She always reminds me of my worth when I seem to forget that this is my fathers world,
She’s not my girlfriend, but she’s for keeps.

Relating with the opposite gender is a skill that we need to learn. Making your intentions clear from the word go is very important. Beware not to betray your initial position with mixed signals. If you learn this, you are safe, especially as a man.

  7. Then there will be no marriage and you’d be single ,are you? ! Kidding SOME not ALL men should know their boundaries. Some girls should also not be too desperate to misinterprate kindness and generosity for signals.
