If you have run out of love, let them go!
Why should they keep waiting in the hope that you will say something nice?
Why should they keep checking their phone in the hope that you will call them, babe?
The day has been long; she comes down tumbling,
Her indefatigable back gives way to the endless chores,
But she seems to have earned another assignment,
Waiting in the hope that you will throw some conversation starter,
But you are still busy at half-past ten,
To your nocturnal iniquities, you have added endless busyness,
Till you have turned her to a prisoner of love,
If you have run out of love, let her go!
He has given his all in the assignments of the day,
All these were meant to give you a sense of direction,
And a good name among damsels in love,
But you are silent, waiting for him to start a conversation,
With a phone and internet at your disposal,
You’re waiting for him to tell you how he missed you,
And you don’t care if its real or no,
If you have run out of love, let him go!
Reminders are good,
For we end up forgetting a lot of things,
But if you forget your name,
How can you negotiate for mercy and make sense?
Honestly, we don’t understand, or to be bolder, we are not willing to understand,
That you can forget you’re a loverboy or a lovergal too soon!
Your indifference is too loud!
If you have run out of love, let them go!
You kept them dating themselves,
For you had logged out without notice,
But your terrible mistake has been treating God the same way,
Creating space for Baal old and modern,
To share the same relationship,
So while giving God one day solid and zealous,
The rest of the days are spent on the Altar at Peor,
But unlike him or her, God knew everything, and He is backing off,
Leaving you to fool your stupid self,
If you have run out of love, God will let you serve at the new Altar.
Love remains a myth if an iota of commitment is taken away,
Love need daily watering and sunlight,
If you don’t love, you will be pushed left, right and centre like a wheelbarrow,
But it will be like the prayers of Baal Prophets at Carmel,
The fact that you can be comfortable with zero efforts is because you are not in love anymore,
The reason why Sabbath catches you unawares, and you seems to push the sun to hasten the sunset,
So that you can pick your iniquities from where you stopped,
It is because you left God, but you are not bold enough to commit to your new master,
And if you have run out of love, let them go!
And with tears in my eyes, if you have run out of love with God, then serve your new master aright!
Commitment. Commitment. Commitment.👌
Favourite line is ‘It is because you left God, but you are not bold enough to commit to your new master,’
Thank you for the amazing piece

Such articles sometimes allow me reasonate with the idea of Jesus not dating 😂😂….. Sometimes I think this issue of letting things undefined and leaving without notice is a problem of the Nairobians. It is well though!

Indeed we busy running from true love of God and keeping ourselves busy with that of the world,,,thus ending in tragedies like that of Vennesa.
May we go back to our true Source of Love.
God alone.
Am really blessed.

“If you have run out of love with God, then serve ur new master.” Honestly, some time back my sister was going through challenges that you never imagine and I actually reached a point of doubting if God really hears our prayers or maybe he abandoned her . But even after such experience it all ended after God had answered our prayers. We can never really run away from God because He cares about us.

Wow amazing I didn’t see God popping in such a manner. We left the first love and went in search of other lovers who in turn are quiet about our matters sadly. We have polluted His Sabbaths so that we can serve mammon but we think we are still safe. Such a good piece
