We have celebrated those who scored 300+ out of the possible 500,
But what about those who could only afford 200 and their below?
Have we asked to know Why they could only afford such a miniscule effort?
We have paraded the champions on our social media,
We have even called the creme de le creme to the national TV,
But where are they who struggled, added 70 marks, but could not go beyond the 250 pass mark?
When asked, the top performers alluded their success to God and hardwork,
But to what are we alluding the failures of those who didn’t do as well?
Could they be little Antichrists and skeptics, cause we didn’t care to ask them as if we know better?
The Champions are warming up for top schools, apparent gateways to Ivy league Institutions,
But where are they going who didn’t do as well?
It seems they have lost their bargaining power and must settle for those schools which will ensure they can apply for anything that demands a Secondary school cert and nothing more,
So the gap has been created that will stubbornly remain erect like the Berlin wall,
Separating the champions and otherwise,
And we can see it’s trickle down effect..
We bombard the beautiful with ‘hi’, ‘Hey’, ‘darl’, while the otherwise have their inbox cold like the Antarctica,
So what more do we want them to do, when everytime we insist that we love them, but as a friend?
The society is not merciful to failure,
And the second chance is almost always too late,
Could this be the reason why most of us are afraid to dare walk the road less travelled?
For if you fail once, you are written off and declared prodigal!
What if We borrowed God’s method of dealing with the blacksheep of the family?
For He has made a way that Sinners can be saints, and the profligates and profane can become moral vertebrates,
He is not looking for the admirable and lovely, but He is in the business of making the simple and inadmissible, members of the Kingdom.
Everyone can reward the gorgeous with cool vibes, everyone can crown the Queen and the King, But the greatest ones, like God, will find a way of rewarding the loveless and crowning those who don’t qualify for any diadem ever registered in the hall of mankind.
Failure is lonely, we need men and women, who can rescue the drowning, not only those who know how to celebrate good swimmers!
This is quite potent indeed, we ought to look out for the weaker characters so as to uplift them as well.

An eye opener, something that is quite the opposite to what the society actually is. Thanks be to God for not being like the society

Wow,such a nice piece. Indeed we really need to think about the other group that doors not “do well” as per the society’s perspective. Their future too matters!

Looking at everone through the eyes of christ is what we lack. When Christ looks at the most condemned sinners on earth to Him He sees a potential candidate for heaven. How do we look at others? Be blessed as you inspire us more and more.
