I Don’t Trust Your Midnight Misments!

I don’t trust your Midnight misments
Midnight

I don’t trust your midnight Misments!
When the emotions have arrested you,
And your heart can be attracted to any unlike term.

I don’t trust your midnight Misments!
When under the bravado of the night,
And you can confidently solicit my attention.

I don’t trust your midnight Misments!
When the night is cold dark and pale,
You may need me only because of the deep darkness, but I want to be useful in the morning too.

I don’t trust your midnight Misments!
When your bed is cold and an harbinger of loneliness,
When even a flickering light of my text can give a little warmth.

I don’t trust your midnight Misments!
When no one is there to respond,
But I want to stand out among ten thousands available and responsive.

I don’t trust your midnight Misments!
When your usual dime is off and away,
I don’t want to be to you, a back-up plan.

I don’t trust your midnight Misments!
When your standards are on the ground,
I will lose you when you respond to a pastoral appeal.

I don’t trust your midnight Misments!
When you’ve lost your moral vertebral column,
It’s more of a dazzling sight and a tempting sound.

I don’t trust your midnight Misments!
It’s opportunistic and cheap,
I want to be missed at morn and noon,
When a lot is on your plate, but you can’t stop thinking about me,
When everyone is sending texts and draft messages, but you defy them cause you want to have me instead,
When I win you at noon, I will negotiate with you at dusk.
