Five Things the Devil Would Want You to Forget as Soon as You Hear.
There’s a great power in our Mental Condition. What we think and believe influence how we handle things and face the boisterous waves that comes our way. There are five things that the devil would want you to forget as soon as you hear. These are fundamental in our conquest in the battle of life, seen and unseen. So what are these five things that the devil wants you to forget now?
That God Loves You
God loves you. ‘You’ in this case is singular. You the reader. There’s nothing you can do to make GOD love you more or less. He created you and made salvation available for you. He didn’t start loving you when you became faithful, but while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. When we know of God’s amazing Grace, We will be moved to Understand the beauty of Obedience perfect and perpetual. We Will respond back, for a knowledge of pure love, actuates pure love. Unfortunately the devil is presenting through his Ministers, doctrines which makes us question God’s love and so we end up being hardened in sin. To preach such doctrines as eternally burning hellfire, purgatory, immortality of souls, is a defamation of God’s character and we ought to apologise if perchance we have done that. Who will love a God who is presented to take pleasure in seeing people swimming in an eternal lake of fire. Read the Bible for yourself, look at Calvary and you will get unquestionable evidence of God’s love for you.
That God Can Forgive Every Sin.
One way through which Satan keeps people in error, is by overwhelming them with their sinfulness. He makes them feel that they are beyond the mercies of God and therefore no need to repent. But God’s promise is simple: “KJV 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
What About blaspheming the Holy Ghost? What is this in the first place? To blaspheme the Holy Ghost, is to continuously and persistently refuse to yield to the convictions of the Spirit of God. The impression of the Holy Spirit if disregarded today, will not be as strong tomorrow. Our condemnation in the judgement will not result from the fact that we have been in error, but from the fact that we have neglected heaven-sent opportunities for learning what is truth. So every sin that we are willing to Confess, God is willing to forgive. Which sin are you not willing to Confess? You have not confessed it until you are willing to repent and stop it.
That You Can be Immune to His Attacks.
Yes you can be Immune to the power of Satan. Satan gets power over us if granted by GOD, or when we have forfeited God’s protection by our Sins. When we engage in sin, We give the devil the power to wreak-havoc in our lives. We don’t have the power of controlling God’s permission to allow Satan to tempt us, but one thing is sure; His will will not take us where His grace cannot be sufficient for us. Satan has power over us to the extent that we forfeit our ties with Heaven through sin. If we stop sinning, the devil will be admitted to the intensive care unit with severe migraines. And if sin unknowingly let’s remember that we can always come home.
The Extent of His Power
There’s a theory that the devil is completely powerless and any manifestations of supernatural phenomena is attributed to God. Could this be dangerous? O yes. One thing must be clear: The Fall of Lucifer involved a loss of position not power. He can still use his agents to work out miracles like the medium of endor. Not every miracle and wonder can be taken as evidence that God is working. What does the blessed BIBLE say?
KJV Revelation 16:13-14 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Miracle working powers will be responsible for Spiritualism and the doctrine of Immortality of souls, whose result is opening the devil’s door. The only way to break the power of Satan, is by being completely on the LORD’s side.
That You are Responsible for Your Sins.
There’s always a temptation to believe that the devil will be blamed for our sins. We often think that those who lead us into sin are responsible for our sins. While it’s not virtuous or excusable to lead someone to sin, the decision to sin is ours. The devil has his own punishment, but this will not excuse us. We have the liberty of Conscience granted by the Creator. We can exercise our will power in the right direction. The greatest temptation is not an excuse to sin. If we were mere automatons, then we would be innocent, but we are moral agents and we therefore can make decisions. May you use well your power of Choice. Don’t indulge the thought that the devil is guilty of your insatiable appetite for rendezvous of coquettery and indulgence. The guilty of Satan will not reverse the wages of our sins to eternal life. With this thought ever before us, We should be afraid of the slightest departure from the path of rectitude. One day we will have to bear the full consequence of our actions here.
May you always remember these five things so that you may stand strong in the battle for eternity.
