A Song for the Sinners.

A song for the Sinners

Are you a sinner? The only thing you need to be a sinner is to be born. It’s carnal nature that produces babies. Being born in this world you are naturally anti-God. And when we get the knowledge of good and evil it’s even more unbearable to come to the truth that the wages of sin (in which we were born) is death. The sinful tendencies, which naturally are predisposed towards evil in and of itself is not necessarily sin, but walking in it, We are sinning either in motives or acts. Christ in His humanity, was Born in this nature but He is without sin. A proof of a possibility to defy tempting sounds and dazzling sights of the World.

The sinner’s song is not ‘Justice’ but ‘Amazing grace’. Justice means we are lost because a snippet of sin is death.  No sinner can answer the accusations of Satan against Him. Satan urges before God his accusations against them, declaring that they have by their sins forfeited divine protection, and claiming the right to destroy them as transgressors.

The people of God have been in many respects very faulty. Satan has an accurate knowledge of the sins which he has tempted them to commit, and he presents these in the most exaggerated light, declaring: “Will God banish me and my angels from His presence, and yet reward those who have been guilty of the same sins? Thou canst not do this, O Lord, in justice. Thy throne will not stand in righteousness and judgment. Justice demands that sentence be pronounced against them.” Counsels for the  Church 353.1

Our righteousness is but like unto filthy rags. Man cannot meet these charges himself. In his sin-stained garments, confessing his guilt, he stands before God. But Jesus our Advocate presents an effectual plea on behalf of all who by repentance and faith have committed the keeping of their souls to Him. He pleads our cause and vanquishes the accuser by the mighty arguments of Calvary.

We sing the mighty power of GOD in providing a way to meet His requirements.  God does not lower His standards to meet man in his sin, but He has paid the penalty and it’s our privilege to claim the voucher of eternal life by faith in Jesus Christ the Redeemer of the World.

Sinners can only Marvel at the amazing Grace. Calvary is an argument that the devil cannot stand. And that’s why in this night of Earth’s History, My blessed Assurance is that Jesus is Mine. Amazing Grace, is a song for a sinner like me. John Newton Sang it as He Remembers his days as a Captain of Slave trade ship. It will forever be relevant.  Here’s our hope of eternal life.

Amazing Grace

Verse 1

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound

That saved a wretch like me!

I once was lost, but now am found;

Was blind, but now I see.

Verse 2

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,

And grace my fears relieved;

How precious did that grace appear

The hour I first believed.

Verse 3

The Lord has promised good to me,

His word my hope secures;

He will my shield and portion be,

as long as life endures.

Verse 4

Through many dangers, toils, and snares,

I have already come;

‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,

And grace will lead me home.

Verse 5

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,

Bright shining as the sun,

We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise

Than when we first begun.

  1. “I once was an outcast, a stranger on earth,
    A sinner by choice and an alien by birth,
    But I’ve been adopted, my name’s written down,
    An heir to a mansion, a robe and a crown,
    ……….All glory to God, I’m a child of the King ” SDAH 468

  2. The last time I thought about where I could be at this day, my thoughts ended up in a tomb. Or serving a death sentence somewhere in one of the greatest prison perhaps in the world. But that Grace, the Amazing Grace! Indeed plucked me from the pool of sin and now I’m safely abiding under His wings. Oh to God be the glory through Jesus Christ who died to save me.

    Thanks Mtumishi Barack for today’s post. I’m so much blessed. God bless you
