Were Its Authors Not Inspired?
Were its Authors Not Inspired,
The Bible could have been a book of bigotry,
A book of perfect men as we see in contemporary biographies,
A book of sagacious men who didn’t struggle with sin,
But God interposed that truth may triumph.
Were its Authors Not Inspired,
The Bible could have a different thematic outline and casts,
Ahab could be the epitome of a romantic man and not weak idolatrous King,
Jeroboam son of Nebat could be depicted as a zealous and ambitious man and not a setter forth of strange gods,
Lot in the valley of Siddim could have been better deemed a spirit of adventure,
But we thank God He interposed, That sin could be called sin and not a lifestyle.
Were its Authors Not Inspired,
The Bible could have been a discouragement to sinners,
For it would have been silent on the mistakes of Patriarchs and Prophets,
It would have presented perfect prophets and Kings,
Sin and its baleful consequences could have been preserved for the contemporary,
But God interposed that the struggle of Human beings be known.
Were its Authors not inspired,
The Bible could have lost its authenticity as a thus Saith the LORD,
For it could have been a summary for a Utopian World,
Which could have been unrealistic for this World, which at times turns a little netherworld,
But God interposed that it may be trusted as a going concern.
Were its Authors not inspired,
It could have thwarted the plan of redemption,
It could have had more perfect men other than the Hero of the Cross and Champion of LOVE,
For it couldn’t have made distinctive, the righteousness of the Saviour,
But God interposed that we may know that we have a saviour who was tempted like we are, yet without sin.
Were its Authors not inspired,
The Bible could not have told the truth about Satan the arch-deceiver,
For it could falsely simplified the battle we are waging,
Presenting no power other than God,
But God interposed that we may know of an enemy who, while roaring like a Lion, seeks those he may devour.
I’m glad God interposed,
That our victory may become apparent,
That we may be encouraged in our militant state, awaiting the triumphant entry,
That we know the mistakes of great men, not as an example but as a lesson.
Glory to GOD , We Can trust His Word
An evidence of devine inspiration indeed. Keep such powerful words coming.

amen.
were its authors not inspired,
sin couldn’t have transpired,
and man could have wandered
far away from the loving LORD.

Amen. It could have been a perfect storybook, but just a storybook and nothing more.
