A Man Who Refused a 52-Days Fully Funded Vacation

A Man Who Refused a 52-Days Fully Funded Vacation

Everyone or majority of  individuals are excited about holidays and taking a memorable vacation. All employees are happy about their sabbatical leaves and they will always keep track, incase of regular patterns. Everyone enjoys a new experience in some beach, park or some cool vivifying arboretum or garden. You can imagine how Christopher Columbus or Marco Polo must have felt when they had the privilege traversing the globe. The Spirit of Adventure, the desire to see something new is an original desire created in us by God.Every normal human being is always fascinated by vacation and trips, but not everyone can afford a vacation. Especially those going across international borders. The constraints in most cases are financial directly or indirectly, since time is another measurement of money in the postmodern world. So are you not going for trips and vacations? Maybe let’s wait and see in the post covid-19 World. You may hide behind Corona Issues but let’s catch up when the moratorium is put on halt.

But how come some individual refused a 52-Days Vacation? Were you in his shoes, What could you have done? Maybe I should be surprised that you have been in His situation many times but I’m not sure how you have treated the fully-funded vacation. Did you secretly steal away for Seychelles or the Caribbean island?

Maybe you have started thinking, now whatever this reality is gonna be, remember it may pock holes on dearly cherished traditions but it will have nothing against truth as Paul writes, “KJV 2 Corinthians 13:8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.” So what do you do if a more reasonable thought confronts your comfort zone? If I’m in such a position I would try finding truth from reliable sources then clinging to it with terrible exactness like an enzyme and a substrate.

So everyone has a  52-Days fully-funded vacation every year. It has been there as long as man has been in existence. Here is where we find its reference:

 KJV Genesis 2

The First Sabbath

1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Each and every year has at least 52 Sabbaths. A free Holy holiday granted each and everyone of us by God.

Reasons why This Man Refused the Vacation:

  • He Claimed that it is Jewish.

It should be noted that sabbath was instituted  immediately after the Creation of the World. In the time when there was no sin, no Jew, but humanity in his pristine and lofty estate, God gave Sabbath. To each and every man it was granted just as Marriage was granted humanity. Are only the Jews getting married? Then don’t confuse Jews unflinching obedience to Sabbath as a tradition. If Africans and Caucasians discard Sabbath as Jewish, then they should also stop getting married since these two institutions are of the same origin. Maybe someone could have reminded this brother that Adam was not a Jew.

  • He Claimed that the Law Had been Changed.

Now this is  a popular doctrine in most contemporary pulpits. Many times, you will hear those who have apostatised in Sabbath Question Claiming that it was changed or fulfilled. Number one, there’s a claim that because Jesus died, we don’t need to keep Sabbath anymore. Maybe a quick question should be asked is ‘why did Jesus die on the Cross?‘ A quick answer is to save humanity from the wages of sin—eternal death. God could have either changed His law to meet the sinner in his comfort zone, but this was impossible for God does not change. The first time He does it,  it is perfect, so we may spare him the BBIs and also sorts of amendments.

KJV Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed

Maybe this one is a bold one:

KJV Matthew 5

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

So the death of Christ is an evidence that the law of God cannot be abrogated. It fulfilled the Ceremonial law of the Sacrificial system and that is why no post-Cavalry animal sacrifice is accepted by God.

Again those who claim that the law was changed still think we should not commit adultery and that it is wrong to steal. So in essence the claim ‘the law was changed’ is meant to say the Sabbath was changed. So  Was Sabbath Changed?

The right answer is YES, but not by God.

Who did the change then?

Most Christians assume that Sunday is the biblically approved day of worship. The Catholic Church protests that it transferred Christian worship from the biblical Sabbath (Saturday) to Sunday, and that to try to argue that the change was made in the Bible is both dishonest and a denial of Catholic authority. If Protestantism wants to base its teachings only on the Bible, it should worship on Saturday.” ⚊Rome’s Challenge http://www.immaculateheart.com/maryonline Dec 2003

“Is not every Christian obliged to sanctify Sunday and to abstain on that day from unnecessary servile work? Is not the observance of this law among the most prominent of our sacred duties? But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify.” ⚊James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of Our Fathers (1917 edition), p. 72-73 (16th Edition, p 111; 88th Edition, p. 89).

“Perhaps the boldest thing, the most revolutionary change the Church ever did, happened in the first century. The holy day, the Sabbath, was changed from Saturday to Sunday. ‘The day of the Lord’ was chosen, not from any direction noted in the Scriptures, but from the (Catholic) Church’s sense of its own power…People who think that the Scriptures should be the sole authority, should logically become 7th Day Adventists, and keep Saturday holy.”⚊St. Catherine Church Sentinel, Algonac, Michigan, May 21, 1995.

Do you need more to know the usurpers of power? Unless you want to gratify your curiosity which I’m not patient enough to attend to. So our friend who refused the 52-Days Vacation on grounds of the change of law was right BUT  it is important to know that the change was not made by Christ or apostles but by the mystery of iniquity. Here’s position of Christ and Apostle Paul on Sabbath:

KJV Luke 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

KJV Acts 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

So on which ground are you rejecting the Sabbatical?

Claims you Cannot Refute.

It is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of Sunday. Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church.” ⚊Priest Brady, in an address reported in The News, Elizabeth, New Jersey, March 18, 1903.

“Regarding the change from the observance of the Jewish Sabbath to the Christian Sunday, I wish to draw your attention to the facts:

“1) That Protestants, who accept the Bible as the only rule of faith and religion, should by all means go back to the observance of the Sabbath. The fact that they do not, but on the contrary observe the Sunday, stultifies them(Make them look stupid) in the eyes of every thinking man.

“2) We Catholics do not accept the Bible as the only rule of faith. Besides the Bible we have the living Church, the authority of the Church, as a rule to guide us. We say, this Church, instituted by Christ to teach and guide man through life, has the right to change the ceremonial laws of the Old Testament and hence, we accept her change of the Sabbath to Sunday. We frankly say, yes, the Church made this change, made this law, as she made many other laws, for instance, the Friday abstinence, the unmarried priesthood, the laws concerning mixed marriages, the regulation of Catholic marriages and a thousand other laws…

“It is always somewhat laughable, to see the Protestant churches, in pulpit and legislation, demand the observance of Sunday, of which there is nothing in their Bible.” ⚊Peter R. Kraemer, Catholic Church Extension Magazine, USA (1975), Chicago, Illinois, “Under the blessing of the Pope Pius XI”

I will not write more of such but you can find them online. Maybe you should know that Sabbath is as enduring as God Himself. in the New Earth Sabbath will still be a necessity.

KJV Isaiah 66

22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

Had humanity maintained the observance of the original Sabbath.  There could be no atheists, no sceptics or agnostics.

In the Sabbath observance,  we have 52-Days fully-funded vacation every year. You need it, don’t pretend to be cool.

God took six days, and created earth and moon the stars and sun
On the seventh day, He rested from the work that He had done
Then He blessed it, made it holy as a gift for every man
To remind us where we came from and just how this world began

Holy day purified, set apart, sanctified
Enter in to joy divine, in a temple made of time

Verse 2

See Him worship on the Sabbath as His weekly custom was
Feel the fury of the rabbis, for He would not heed their laws
So they killed Him on a hillside as the sun began to fade
But He even kept the Sabbath as they laid Him in the grave

Verse 3

Oft forsaken and forgotten, desecrated and profaned
But the sacred fourth commandment is still valid and unchanged
Hear the Father gently calling “If you love Me, heed each one,
Not for merit or salvation, but because you love My Son.”
